Are you a newly arrived professional, accompanying partner or an international Master's student looking to start your career in West Sweden?

We are pleased to offer this self-development training programme for international talents and professionals with tertiary education, pursuing a career in the Gothenburg region, West Sweden. 
 
You will identify your strengths, explore available opportunities, and gain valuable insights into Swedish workplace culture. This programme is designed to equip you with practical tips and essential knowledge to confidently prepare for the Swedish job market.

Registration criteria:

The programme is open to international professionals, accompanying partners and second-year master's students (at universities in West Sweden), who reside in West Sweden.
  
Participation is free of charge, but registration is required. 
 
The career program is a complete journey spread over five sessions, designed to give you practical tools, insights, and connections to take the next step in your professional journey. By joining us you commit to attending all sessions of the program and at the end you receive a certificate of completion to mark  your achievement. 
 
To ensure that this programme matches your needs, we will request a few details while registering your participation.

Peter Warda holds a PhD within the field of Economics and works as a Senior Analyst at Business Region Göteborg (BRG). Prior to BRG, he spent many years in academia at Jönköping International Business School where he taught courses with a focus on industrial organization, regional innovation systems and macroeconomics. His research has a strong focus on how knowledge, productivity and innovations are spread within and between companies in the regional economy, as well as in the global economy. Peter has extensive knowledge of how the labour market and the business sector develop within the region.

Christina specializes in developing intercultural competence for global teams, making her uniquely qualified to guide you through the intricacies of Swedish culture and business practices.

Magnus Bolten is the DEI & Leadership Architect at Mitt Liv, where he helps organizations in Sweden and internationally build more inclusive, bias-aware workplaces. After experiencing the challenges of entering the Swedish job market himself as an international professional, he now works to remove barriers in leadership, culture, and recruitment. His work also supports Mitt Livs Chans, a mentorship program connecting highly educated international talents with mentors to accelerate their path into the Swedish labour market.

Katarina Matson works with Jobbsprånget as a Client Relationship Manager, focusing on engaging employers and creating internship opportunities for international talent in Sweden. She brings extensive experience in connecting organisations with diverse talent and supporting pathways into the Swedish labour market. She is an experienced leader, consultant, and speaker with a strong background in HR, leadership development, communication, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. She spent more than 25 years at Volvo Cars in Gothenburg in senior roles focused on corporate culture, leadership, and global inclusion. As Head of DEI, she led initiatives including global parental leave policy development, integration programmes for foreign-born employees, and efforts to increase gender balance in leadership, as well as delivering Unconscious Bias training to over 1,500 employees worldwide. Since 2021, she runs her own consultancy, Let’s Tango AB, where she supports organisations across sectors with leadership and inclusion.

Sofia Lorentzon works with volunteer engagement through Volontärbyrån, part of Ideella Sverige, where she focuses on connecting individuals with meaningful volunteer opportunities across Sweden and supporting organisations in building meaningful and sustainable volunteer engagement. With expertise in human rights and communication, she focuses on making engagement accessible, inclusive, and relevant to diverse groups.

Megan Reiff leads Talent Intelligence at Volvo Cars, combining her five years’ of experience in talent acquisition in Sweden with the background in research and data analysis that brought her to Sweden in the first place.  She knows first-hand what it is like to navigate the Swedish job market as a newcomer after deciding to stay in Sweden for love and make a career pivot. She enjoys sharing concrete advice and sometimes some tough talk about harsh realities from her personal experience and working as a recruiter and talent marketplace analyst.
